Laser hair reduction in Delhi
Laser hair reduction can reduce unwanted hair and the need for frequent shaving or waxing. Treatment is planned around the area, hair characteristics and skin tone, usually through a course of sessions.

How laser hair reduction works.
Laser hair reduction uses light energy absorbed by pigment in the hair to affect the follicle and reduce future growth. Settings are selected for the treatment area, hair and skin rather than applied in the same way to everyone.
The treatment can be considered by women and men. Hair is in different growth phases at different times, which is why repeat sessions are usually needed. Long-term reduction does not mean that every hair will be permanently removed; regrowth and maintenance sessions are possible.
Areas of concern
Plan around the area you want treated.
Common areas considered include the upper lip and other suitable facial areas, underarms, legs and bikini line. Not every part of the face or body is appropriate for laser treatment; small facial areas require a specific safety assessment.
The aim may be to reduce routine shaving or waxing, or to address persistent unwanted hair. Hormonal influences, age, medicines and the growth pattern can affect the course needed. A clinician may recommend assessment of an underlying cause when the history suggests one.
Your treatment course
Why one session is rarely enough.
Laser treatment is most effective on hairs at the appropriate stage of growth. Sessions are therefore spaced to treat further growth as it appears. The number and interval depend on the area and your response, rather than a fixed promise for every patient.
The area is prepared before treatment and protective eyewear is used. Pulses can feel warm or uncomfortable; cooling or another comfort measure may be used as appropriate. Treatment time varies with the size of the area.
Hair that returns may be less noticeable, but results differ between people. Ask how progress will be reviewed and whether maintenance is likely.
Before and after treatment
Be gentle with treated skin.
- Follow advice about sun exposure and tanning before and after each session.
- Discuss medicines, recent tanning, previous reactions and skin conditions before treatment.
- Avoid waxing or plucking during the course as advised. Ask when shaving is appropriate; timing differs before treatment and while the skin is recovering.
- After treatment, use only the cooling or soothing products recommended for your skin.
- Avoid rubbing, loofahs, scrubbing or aggressive exfoliation while the area is sensitive. Do not try to force treated hairs to shed.
- Follow your clinician’s advice on skin products, heat, exercise and sun protection.
An informed choice
Understand the limits and cost.
Temporary redness, swelling and discomfort are common. Less common problems can include blistering, burns, infection, scarring and lighter or darker skin. An experienced clinician should assess your skin tone and select suitable treatment parameters.
Many people return to usual activities soon after a session, but care may be needed while the skin settles. Seek advice if you develop blisters, unexpected pain or a reaction that concerns you.
The quotation depends on the area and proposed course. Discuss the likely number of sessions, maintenance and what is included. Claims of a permanent, risk-free result or a guaranteed saving over other hair-removal methods do not apply to every patient.
