Anti-ageing skin treatments in Delhi

Fine lines, changes in texture, uneven colour and loss of firmness can call for different treatments. A skin assessment helps select an approach that suits the concern, your skin and the recovery you can allow.

Understanding the treatment

An approach to changing skin.

Ageing, sun exposure and other environmental factors can change the appearance and feel of the skin. Concerns may include crow’s feet, frown lines, uneven texture, pigmentation, fine wrinkles and reduced elasticity.

Skin treatments aim to improve selected features of these changes. They do not stop ageing or restore every aspect of younger skin. The appropriate approach may involve exfoliation, resurfacing or a treatment intended to stimulate the skin’s repair response.

Your skin assessment

Start with what you want to improve.

The consultation considers whether the main concern is dullness, uneven colour, sun-related spots, acne scarring, fine lines or loss of firmness. These can occur together, but they do not always respond to the same treatment.

Daily skin care and sun protection remain relevant alongside procedures. An unusual or changing pigmented spot should be examined before it is treated as a cosmetic blemish.

Treatment options

Peels, microdermabrasion and microneedling.

The depth and intensity of treatment should be selected after an examination. More intensive treatment generally involves different risks and recovery needs.

Chemical peels

A controlled chemical application exfoliates selected layers of skin. Depending on the peel, it may improve fine lines, uneven colour or texture on areas such as the face, neck or hands. The type and strength determine aftercare and downtime; peeling is not a guarantee of completely smooth or wrinkle-free skin.

Microdermabrasion

A device gently removes superficial dead skin cells, using crystals or another abrasive surface. It may help a dull complexion and uneven surface texture. It is a surface treatment, so its effects differ from deeper resurfacing or treatment for established scars. A course of sessions and ongoing skin care may be needed.

Derma roller / microneedling

Fine needles make controlled punctures intended to stimulate a repair response and collagen formation. Microneedling may be considered for selected scars, fine lines or texture concerns. Benefits for pigmentation and stretch marks vary, and the procedure is not appropriate for every skin condition.

Other approaches

Laser skin toning and body polishing.

Laser skin toning

“Laser toning” describes treatments that may be proposed for selected pigment or skin-quality concerns. The diagnosis, laser type and settings matter. Ask what the intended benefit is for your skin and what risks of burns or colour change apply, particularly if your skin is prone to pigmentation.

Full-body polishing

Body polishing is a surface exfoliation treatment aimed at skin feel and appearance. It should not be presented as equivalent to scar treatment, a lift or a procedure that reverses ageing. The products and method should suit your skin and any sensitivity or active skin condition.

Planning and aftercare

Know the recovery and risks.

Discuss your medical history, medicines, previous skin treatments, tendency to form raised scars, pigmentation changes and any history of cold sores. The clinician can then explain the expected degree of improvement, session plan, recovery and cost.

Redness, irritation and swelling can follow treatment. Depending on the procedure, risks also include infection, burns, scarring or changes in skin colour. Follow the specific cleansing, moisturising and sun-protection advice and wait for guidance before restarting active skin products.

Results and their duration vary. Maintenance may be needed, and satisfaction with appearance cannot be guaranteed.
